Hardscaping is the bones of an outdoor space — the patio you set the table on, the wall that makes a slope usable, the fire pit everybody ends up standing around. We build all of it out of Belvidere, IL, across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
Most of our time on a hardscape job goes into the part you never see: excavation, a properly compacted aggregate base, and grading that moves water away from the house. That is what keeps a patio flat and a wall straight through fifteen Midwest freeze-thaw cycles instead of three.

Site consult and free estimate
We come out, walk the space, talk through how you actually want to use it, and leave you with an honest number in writing. No charge and no pressure.

Layout and grading
We paint the footprint on the ground so you can stand in it before we dig anything, then set the grades so water runs away from your foundation.
- 03
Excavation and base prep
We dig to depth, install and compact the aggregate base in lifts, and screed a bedding course. This is the step that decides how everything above it holds up.

Installation
Pavers, wall block or natural stone go in to the pattern you picked, with every cut made on site so borders, curves and inside corners stay clean.
- 05
Edge restraint, sand and walkthrough
We lock the edges, sweep in polymeric sand, run a final compaction, clean up the site, and walk the finished job with you before we leave.
