Plants fail for boring reasons: planted too deep, crowded together, or chosen for a sunny spot when they wanted shade. We source hardy stock from regional growers, place it for the light and drainage it actually has, and space it for what it will be in ten years.
We also plant for a purpose. Arborvitae and upright evergreens to screen a neighbor's window, low mounding shrubs that will not swallow a walkway, ornamental trees where you want a focal point off the patio — the goal is a planting that solves something, not just fills a bed.

No mystery, no surprises — here's exactly how a job runs from the first call to the final walkthrough.

Match plants to conditions
Sun, drainage, soil and exposure get checked first, then we pick material that is hardy here and will not outgrow the spot.
- 02
Set and space
We set the pots in place and let you see the spacing before anything goes in the ground. Mature size drives the layout, not install-day fullness.
- 03
Plant to depth
Holes are dug wider than the root ball and no deeper. Root flares stay visible, girdling roots get teased out, and burlap and wire baskets come off.
- 04
Backfill, mulch and water in
We backfill with native soil amended as needed, build a shallow water ring where it helps, mulch, and soak everything thoroughly.

Care instructions
We leave you with plain-language watering guidance for the first season, which is when most new plantings are won or lost.
